Mind Over Matter?
Everyone agrees the mind is a very powerful thing and as scientist tell us we don't even use half of its capabilities or even know them!
As a medium clairvoyant i am faced with non believers, and those that do believe but are very scared and those who think its devil work, you name it i have heard it! Also i get asked a lot and told horror stories about negative bad spirits and demons coming through and how i need to be careful, absolutely i agree that you can never be too careful and there are things i do before and after I open up my channel for protection, i will discuss this in a bit but first i wanted to take about the fear people have about the spirit world.
Fears of the unknown
Good or bad spirits were once people, we are all born with a spirit and simply given a body to live in, when we die our spirit goes to heaven and for some in my personal opinion go to hell.
So when you hear about a bad spirit it's often referred to by Hollywood movies as some gory killer who you can't see that posses people and is utterly awful and scary!
A 'bad' spirit or 'ghost' is simply a spirit that is stuck on earth and has strong attachments to their old home or things they once owned, makes sense right, most 'ghosts' normally reside in a home or move belongings, the new owners are scared and a bit freaked out, i can understand that reaction, but really it's not as bad as people think and although it can be frightening it can be resolved and the ghost or spirit moved on to heaven where they should be. So not really a 'bad' spirit after all!
Possession of the body
OK hands up i have watched so many possession horror films i can never watch one again as let's be honest they scared the hell out of me as a kid too and even as an adult i watch from behind my pillow!
Some people really do believe in possession, that in many people's opinion is where the problem is....
The mind is super powerful and is simply a computer, you out the info in and the brain will do what it is told....its a sat nav system
so if a person believes they are evil, they hear things, they are possessed, THEN guess what your brain is so powerful it will help you get there! the same as if you wake up everyday and say you are going to have a terrible day and your going to be miserable the entire day then guess what? that is what will happen
If you believe you will be possessed or bring in bad spirits to your life then WELL DONE you, you will be successful....
If like me you DO NOT believe in possession and bringing in bad spirits around you then guess what...YOU WONT, weakness of your mind and body is the first step to letting the bad things and thoughts take hold.
so now I'm going to talk about WHY and how you ensure you only allow love and light into your life and keep any Hollywood bad ass spirits and possessions well away from you and your family.
Protection for you and the home
I work with the spirit world daily and love it and feel so safe and positive its truly a blessing to share my gift with thousands of people, check out my Facebook page im live three times a week, giving out free angel card readings and also giving out messages to loved ones from heaven with names!!
Inner belief becoming the light
When working with spirits I only ever want to work with love and light and good spirits so to make sure this happens I myself have to believe that I am a solid ball of positive energy, after all nothing negative can attach to that! like attracts like....
Your turn: visualize and feel it, so before i enter into my zone i visualize myself as a ball of light filling every single corner of my home and surrounding myself and all i love with this big glow of positive energy force field, also i picture myself surround by mirrors i cannot see myself as these mirrors are facing outwards, no negative forces or spirits that are not good can possibly come near me or enter my channel.
It's such a great method and also brilliant for everyday life, why not do this everyday so you do not draw in people's negative energies, protect your positivity and self from anything draining.
Prayer to my god, spirit guides, archangel and ministry
I have an incredible connection with all the above and daily i build a fantastic relationship with all them, praying and thanking them for all areas of my life, again gratitude will get your everywhere and is the key to really loving your life.
Opening and closing my channel to the spirit world involves a prayer of protection to them all and asking them to work with me to bring only love and light and good spirits my way and to protect all that i read for. Once i have finished i then close my channels and thank them all for helping me and to push away any left over spirits from my aura or surroundings.
Crystals
I love my crystals and my collection is getting bigger month by month, every home in my opinion should have a lovely selection to help bring protection and love, also when like me you are a medium and you talk to spirits in your home then 100% crystals should be part of your protection and grounding routine.

Saging your home
This should be done at least once a month although people may only do this a few times a year. I often smudge once a week due to my spirit work and I really feel the difference afterwards my readings are crystal clear and the atmosphere in my home is more calm.
negative and stagnant energies build up in the home and can effect how you feel and how the energy flow in your home.

Salt for protection and clearing negative energies
Sea salt is an EXCELLENT neutralizer! The ocean holds a lot of power, especially for cleansing and healing, so sea salt obviously does too. You can get pure sea salt at health food stores, and many online shops also carry it.
Place the salt into little dishes around your home and at your work station you can also add in sage, aloe,anise, barley, basil, bay leaf, cactus, carnation, cedar, chamomile, cinnamon, clove, cumin, curry, dill, dragon’s blood, eucalyptus, fennel, fern, flax, frankincense, garlic, ginseng, ivy, lavender, myrrh, onion, parsley, pepper, peppermint, rosemary, sage, thyme, violet.
After two months maximum, refill and replace them, don't throw it in the bin empty it back out into nature.
Charging and cleanings your tools
Crystals need cleansing and any tools that i use as overtime they can become blocked with different energies, once cleansed i can certainly feel the difference. Soon i will be writing an article about cleansing and charging.
As you can see there is a lot
more to ensuring that you are protected and your energy remains clear and positive, there are many many more on the internet and some are just down to personal preference. These are my favorite and the ones i use daily.
